Digital Reading App

An interactive reading application for kids to learn how to read on-the-go. This concept takes existing print materials & brings it into the digital world as an easy & seamless educational tool. It focuses on spelling, pronunciation, grammar, & definitions.

It starts with a userflow.

After researching interactive learning tools across many different platforms, we mapped out the user flow to accommodate all functionality & paths. This gave us a firm understanding of the unique page types, content, & components we would need to achieve the overall goal.

moving into wireframes.

After the userflow was in a solid place, I began to work on the user interface based on the features we needed:

Sign Up/Sign In, Onboarding, Customize Profiles, Dashboard UI, Settings, Story UI, Custom Story Settings, Quizzes, Review, Completions, & much more.

the design phase

Once the user flow & wireframes are ironed out, it is time to go into design exploration. This includes finding fonts, colors, motion gestures, transitions & imagery.

Overall, this was a complex design project that I thoroughly enjoyed working on & solving problems for.
